Captain: Alex Aslou

Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and positive energy to his leadership position onboard Bacchus. His hobby for tinkering with smaller boats from a very young age with his grandfather, a passion for the ocean, and being raised in Florida, coupled with his attention to detail, inspires a coordinated, professional and service-oriented crew that is ready and able to accommodate to whatever arises. Combining the utmost level in service along with local knowledge and safety at sea, Alex will ensure that you and your guests have the vacation of a lifetime onboard Bacchus. Alex takes great care to ensure each and every day on the water is exceptional. His career in yachting began in the Bahamas with owners who loved fishing and diving. Before long, the size of yachts that Alex worked on increased as did the list of places he’s visited. Alex currently holds both a U.S. Coast Guard 1,600 Ton and Cayman Island 3,000 Ton Open Oceans License. Having completed numerous trans-Atlantic passages, he has explored various exotic European destinations ranging from the Greek islands to Gibraltar and most ports in-between. In addition to cruising the Mediterranean, Alex has also taken part in many excursions throughout the Caribbean as far South as Grenada and has transited the Eastern U.S. Seaboard as far North as Bar Harbor, Maine. Alex enjoys cycling, reading, free diving and loves the opportunity to explore new destinations, so buckle up, as Alex can’t wait to share his passion with you!

First MATE: SHANE VICTOR

 Shane Victor was born and raised in a small town called George in South Africa before moving to Durban where he studied Graphic Design. He has a passion for the outdoors and adventure and values life experiences and friendships. Having grown up around the water he is a keen surfer, kite surfer and diver. He has a thriving passion for creativity, focusing most of his spare time on videography and photography. Before the adventure of yachting, 5 years ago, represented South Africa at The World Student Games and the World Champs in Deague, South Korea where achieved a silver medal. He is the proud 4x400m national record holder, still standing unbeaten for 12 years.

Chief Engineer: BLADE GRABLE

Blade, born and raised in Mayberry R.F.D., Michigan. Early on his career centered around working in two family owned business which specialized in the operation of Automated Screw Machines combine with Tool and Die Trades. In the late 90’s Blade made a trip to St. Thomas for a visit, one year later he sold everything he owned and bought a one-way ticket to St. Thomas to live on a sailboat in Redhook, St. Thomas. While in St. Thomas blade found work fixing anything mechanical. In 2001 he landed his first job as an unlicensed engineer on a yacht and the rest is history. Blade currently holds a MCA Engineers License. When not playing engineer on yachts Blade can be found in his home state of Michigan visiting family, enjoying time required to fix dads car, and tinkering with his own two classic automobiles.

Chef: Jerome TricOche

Jerome speaks French and English and has previously worked on MY Imagine and MY Four Wishes and MY Sequel P. Originally born in France, his training started in Paris at the Bristol hotel. Jerome lived in London for 24 years where he owned his own restaurant in Chelsea for 6 years. For the last 14 years Jerome has travelled and cooked all around the world on both land and sea. Prior to joining the yachting industry, Jerome worked for various well known families such as the Rothschild’s, the Royal family of Abu Dhabi, the Royal family of Saudi Arabia and the Royal family of Greece as their estate chef. He has found himself very fortunate to discover and embrace a variety of international cooking at all levels. Jerome’s knowledge of world cuisine ensures that every day guests get an extensive menu to choose from that will satisfy every table.

Chief Stewardess: Stephanie Marsh

Born and raised in Wales, UK, Stephanie’s outgoing personality quickly outgrew her hometown of Harverford West. Stephanie, then looking for something bigger, found herself working onboard cruise ships where she was responsible for guest activities and entertainment. While onboard, Stephanie’s responsibility would be to make sure that each guest would enjoy their vacation with her bubbly demeanor and happy outlook on life. Before long, Stephanie was eagerly working on Superyachts with the same goal in mind, making sure each day of their vacation was better than the last. Being a part of the yachting industry for some time now, her interest in wine has developed into a passion. Stephanie is always on the lookout for new wine tasting or pairing events and festivals. Even with Stephanie’s extensive list of wine course qualifications under her belt, she still enjoys looking to constantly add to her knowledge of wine. She has even made the trip to California to watch the wine-making process in the world famous Napa Valley vineyards. While running the Interior Department, Stephanie has the amazing ability to see the bright side of each day and incorporates personalized touches wherever possible. While fashion is one of her greatest interests, Stephanie thoroughly enjoys themed events and parties, which are never short of extraordinary. Stephanie’s hard work and genuine attentiveness results in an unforgettable vacation getaway each and every time.

Second Stewardess: Melanie Henn 

Born in New Jersey, Melanie quickly began a love affair with the ocean. Shortly after graduating from University, she moved across the world to Australia. There, her keen interest in traveling along with her passion for people helped her grab the position as an extreme sports travel guide. She traveled all over Australia hosting people in fun activities such as sky diving, bungee jumping, snorkeling, scuba diving, and white water rafting. After five years, Melanie decided to change her pace and moved to the beautiful and relaxing islands of Hawaii, where she dove into the hospitality industry. She loved giving excellent service and making her to places all over the world such as Australia, Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, the Pacific Islands, and the Caribbean. Having worked on sailboats in Fiji, she decided to try her luck on motor yachts and moved to Ft. Lauderdale. She was ecstatic to find such a perfect industry that fit her creative and hospitable talents and that let her work with people every day! Melanie strives to make sure her guests leave saying “this was the best trip of our lives!” She loves putting smiles on everyone’s faces and will make sure you always have a frosty cold beverage to enjoy the beautiful, sunny weather on M/Y Bacchus!

Third Stewardess: Kristen Sanvidge 

Born in Tennessee, Kiersten jumped at the opportunity to live near the ocean when she moved to Southern California at the age of 17 to begin her studies at the University of San Diego. After graduating Cum Laude with a degree in English Language and Literature, Kiersten worked in marketing for several years, where her focus was customer service, account and project management. Caught by the travel bug, she made the life-changing decision to move to Hanoi, Vietnam to teach English to young children. Kiersten has since chosen to apply her transferable skills and upbeat personality to yachting. Her passions include traveling, trying new things, and writing poetry. Kiersten puts a lot of pride in her work and hopes that she can help to ensure your stay on Bacchus exceeds your expectations.

Bosun: GRAEME PALMER

Graeme was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, before moving to Cape Town to complete his degree in social anthropology and history. He embraced the opportunity of growing up near the beach from a young age, by doing multiple water activities. Including, surfing and working as a surf lifeguard for a number of years. His love for the ocean and rich cultural history that the world has to offer, has gone hand-in-hand with his enjoyment for the yachting industry. Graeme has spent the last 4 years working on various yachts before joining the Bacchus team as Bosun.

Deckhand: DEAN TROLLIP

Born in South Africa, Dean joins the Bacchus family with a great love of all things water. Having grown up near the ocean, Dean competed in national wakeboarding and won first place! From a young age he also became experienced in many other watersports, a passion that led him to the yachting industry—the perfect place to do what he enjoys. While on charter, Dean helps guests become acquainted with the myriad of watersports options Motoryacht Bacchus has to offer. From kayaking to paddle-boarding, riding SeaBobs, water skiing, snorkeling, wakeboarding and beyond, Dean is the perfect partner in watersports onboard Bacchus, for those seeking a little fun in the water or a healthy and convenient way to stay fit while on charter.
